Posthuman Island is an immersive XR experience that explores themes of identity, transformation, and digital existence. Set in a virtual island environment, participants encounter Fluxie, a complex character navigating life after a mysterious experiment. The project combines virtual reality, web-based interaction, and narrative storytelling to create a unique digital art experience.
This collaborative project brings together artists, technologists, and storytellers to examine what it means to be human in an increasingly digital world. Developed through a Digital Artist Residency collaboration between Cultural Policy and Areyes Studio, the project features innovative technical development detailed on Areyes Studio's website. The experience integrates AI-generated music through a unique XR collaboration with Mubert, creating an adaptive soundscape that responds to user interactions.
The project has received significant critical attention and recognition across various platforms. Feltzine provides comprehensive documentation and analysis of the work, while Clot Magazine explores the deeper narrative of a whistleblower's cry for help embedded within the experience. The project was featured at Gray Area as part of their innovative digital art programming, and Coeval Magazine covered it within the context of contemporary art and culture. The work's digital innovation earned recognition from The FWA, highlighting its cutting-edge approach to web-based interactive experiences.
Through interactive elements and multimedia content, visitors can explore the island, interact with characters, and uncover the deeper narrative layers of this posthuman experiment, creating a unique intersection of art, technology, and storytelling.

Fluxie is wearing the same facial jewelry that I sculpted that can be found on a face filter of mine entitled Anime Villainy.
